The NAWC Value of Water campaign we designed educates and builds goodwill among a variety of audiences, including customers, opinion leaders, elected officials, and individuals and groups involved in public utility commissions and municipal affairs. The campaign raised awareness of the value of water and increased understanding of the private water industry’s role in its treatment and delivery, including all the work that goes into providing safe, reliable water and wastewater services. By educating people about the process, its complexity, and the expertise, testing, manpower and infrastructure required to provide this essential service, the campaign helped address concerns about the costs, built support for funding infrastructure projects, fostered trust in the industry, and reinforced that services are provided at an exceptional value.
